This is not rocket science! Tell that to the kiln, ha ha ha! After retiring from the Army, with 30 years in engineering, Mark took a college class in pottery. Well, he caught the mud bug and has never looked back.

Mark enjoys throwing on the wheel and applying his engineering background to the process. He has studied the chemistry of clays and glazes, and continues to try and tame the kiln "gods".

​

Mark loves to create his own glazes and experiment with layering to create glaze movement. The results can sometimes be mesmerizing.

 

All of his daughters have tackled the wheel as well and enjoy throwing pottery when they can.

Mark's Pottery is high fired stoneware pottery and is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.
