Still Here in the Colors

By: Our very own artist, Sean Yeterian

[Verse 1]

There are women in these walls
Who gave this place its light
They showed up with their brushes
With their spirits glowing bright.
Now the canvases are quiet
But the paintings still remain
And we feel them in the colors
Every time we say their names

[Chorus]

They're still here in the colors
In the frames upon the wall
In the laughter in the hallways
In the echo down the hall
They didn't leave an empty room
They left us full of heart
Still here inside the colors
And their memories of art

[Verse 2]

These were women who believed
That a life is what you give
Who could turn a heavy world
And teach us how to live.
They could smile at you and somehow
Make you feel like you belonged
Like the art was never finished
And their song goes on and on

[Chorus]

They still within these colors,
And the frames upon the wall
In the laughter in the hallways
In the echo down the hall
They didn't leave an empty room
They left us full of heart,
Still here inside these colors

And their memories of art

[Bridge]
We'll keep showing up
The way they showed us how
Crafting something beautiful
Our heads not bowed too low
'Cause they wouldn't have it any other way
And this much we all know
They'd want us to be standing here
As their loving spirits glow.

[Final Chorus]

They're still here within the colors
In the frames upon the wall
In the laughter in the hallways
In the echo down the hall
They didn't leave an empty room
They left us full of heart.
They're still here within the colors

Still here
Still here
Within their art.
