HUACHUCA ART ASSOCIATION
Gallery, Gifts & Art Center
John Marvin
My photographic enlightenment began about fifty years ago when I resided in the rather progressive community of Flagstaff, AZ. It soon became apparent to me that certain clubs and organizations within this city were always on the lookout for programs, speakers and events associated with our natural environment and outdoor activities. At this point in life, I was an active and serious fly-fisher, hiker and backpacker so it was an opportune time for me to begin capturing interesting photographic images during my extensive excursions and develop slide programs for public viewing.

After living in Flagstaff for eighteen years, I shifted gears and retired, sold the house and then began exploring southeast Arizona to eventually set up a new residence & camp in sunny, Sierra Vista. Then I saw the ‘light’ – it was digital and I soon created a little inflation in the Canon camera industry. At last, the Huachuca Art Association was discovered, and I have been a contributing and exhibiting member for close to a quarter of a century - what a blessing!
