A native of San Francisco.  During the Fifties and Sixties, the city was a haven for great artists, musicians and teachers.  With nothing else to do, I played ball with many great kids.  We often played in the damp fog and could see the two bridges from a grassy hill.  I'm a Fine Art graduate of Academy of Art College, San Francisco.  Served as Paramedic, 17th Infantry, U.S. Army.  Spent much adult life in Colorado.  Really liked Washington and Alabama too.

In college, I enjoyed the writings of Tennessee Williams, William Inge, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Kazuo Ishiguro.  Wanted to be a writer and did well with creative writing but discovered that getting published could be cumbersome.  Studied photography too.

After serving thirty years in the publishing/graphics industry, I took time to learn painting and music.  My sister Frances was a better painter than I could ever be, but she didn't stay with it and passed away early.  I enjoy dance and love many art forms.

I paint in watercolor, acrylic and oil.  As for now, I'm doing oil.
