I moved to Arizona after retiring as a librarian in Massachusetts. I joined the art association to learn more about art mediums. I also helped with the children’s art classes. I was primarily a crafter but since joining have worked mostly with gourds. Classes and workshops as well as lots of practice has helped me.
I also like doing paper quilling. This is rolled paper art which is used to make shapes and designs. I have just started making some 3 D quilled creations. I have also attended workshops in watercolor and scratch art.
Since joining HAA I have been on the board and held the position of treasurer for many years. I am currently one of three gallery curators.
