Our History

Among the many activities the association sponsors are workshops, scholarships, and special events. The talents of our members cover a wide range of artistic media; including oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, pastel, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, printing, stained glass, metalwork, basketry, jewelry, crafts, fiber/textiles, leather, scratchboard, and wood.
There are several types of HAA memberships available to include Individual, Senior, Family, Sustaining, Life, Group, Corporate, and Patron. For more information click on the CONTACT US button or if you prefer snail mail drop us a line at P.O. Box 748, Sierra Vista, AZ 85636. To see and print a membership form, please click the Membership link in menu above.
Please take the time to “meet” some of the HAA Artists. They have come from many different walks of life, many have traveled the world over, have several impressive credentials and earned many awards. Visit our Member/Artist pages.
The HAA Gallery & Studio is the location of many art activities including: month-long art exhibitions, weekly studio sessions, private art instruction, monthly meetings, workshops, and children’s’ art lessons. The studio/gallery is located at 1835 Paseo San Luis, Sierra Vista, AZ.
HAA sponsors the Art In The Park annually at the Sierra Vista Veterans Memorial Park. The event takes place the first weekend in October. This two day (Saturday and Sunday) event is one of the finest art fairs in the Southwest, attracting artists from many states.
Spend some time browsing through the HAA “ArtyFacts” Newsletter. It’s an informative monthly newsletter announcing when the next workshops will be, what events are taking place and what different committees are doing.
