HAA sponsors the "Art In The Park" annually at the Sierra Vista Veterans Memorial Park. The event takes place the first weekend in October. This two-day (Saturday and Sunday) event is one of the finest art fairs in the Southwest, attracting artists from many states. It is estimated that between 18,000 and 35,000 people visit the event.

Every application from each artist and crafts person is juried into the show. The jury consists of three to five members each year. We'd like to say a special thank you to the jury members for this years show. We think they did an excellent job.

The 2008 (37th Annual) event will be held on October 4th and 5th, 2008. We welcome the public from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. We have many exciting Artists displaying their talent this year to include several new artists.  The new businesses range in all kinds of arts and crafts. Of course we always welcome back artists from previous years.  Some of the artists have been with us many years.

Last year there were multiple enquiries about places to stay in Sierra Vista and 'next door' in  Hereford for vendors and other visitors. HAA has included a  (partial) list of lodging in Sierra Vista, not necessarily comprehensive,  here in PDF and here in WORD format to assist those seekers. The HAA can not make reservations for anyone, so please check the list and make your own arrangements. Thank you!
