As a native of the Southwestern United States, Eva was drawn to the unique landscapes and light of the region early in her art. Primarily working in watercolor in Plein aire, she found an affinity with the land and natural surroundings. Frequent themes in her work are vistas of canyons and mountains complimented by the fragile plants, cactus, rocks, and water within them. Expanding to works in oils, drawing and painting from the live model, and teaching classes, she keeps axtively pursuing a higher level of creativity. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona, she continued her studies in Lucca and Florence, Italy, Madrid and Costa del Sol, Spain, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She continues to study with nationally known painters which brings new impetus and directions to her work. Born in Denver, Co.she has remained a resident of southwest. She now resides in southern Arizona where she is building an off grid studio near Bisbee.
