Dorothy Bowman

Dorothy Bowman is a Jeweler, from very early life she had a need to create something.  She made her own paper dolls and their clothes. She made necklaces and bracelets out of beads that were given to her. She knitted and crocheted and did needlepoint.  Then she got interested in painting after watching TV programs.  While living in Alaska she took classes from an artist who used palette knife.

After moving to Sierra Vista, she worked a while and then needed you to do something creative. She took beading classes with Karen Garrard.  Karen has more knowledge about beadwork than anyone Dorothy has ever met.  She took more classes and visited Gem & Mineral Shows and bought lots of beads.  She also used polymer clay after seeing Christi Friedens working with it.
